Agreements

The Icelandic Dramatists´ Union is authorized to negotiate collective agreements for theatre and media. The primary mission is to negotiate with Iceland's professional theatres and with the organization representing Iceland's independent theatre groups. Other agreements are negotiated in accordance with The Icelandic Writer's Union, for example; agreements with the national radio and television broadcasting company and those with privately owned radio and television stations. The Union is also engaged in the promotion of Icelandic dramatic literature and it's presentation outside of Iceland. The Union strives to raise economic compensation for, and to increase dramatic writings' share of the total export of Icelandic literature, this through education and the active lobbying activities of the Union.
