New Chairwoman and Executive Director for the Finnish Playwrights

Minna Sirnö is new executive director at the Finnish Dramatists' Union.
Heini Junkkaala is new chairwoman.
The new executive director of the Finnish Dramatists' Union (Suomen näytelmäkirjailijaliitto - Finlands Dramatikerförbund) is Minna Sirnö. Sirnö was previously Member of the Finnish Parliament (2003-2011) and chairwoman of the Theatre and Media Employees in Finland (2006-2009). Sirnö's first day in office will be on the 1st of June, 2011.
New chairwoman of the Finnish Dramatists' Union board is Heini Junkkaala. Junkkaala is a playwright and a dramaturge. In 2010 she received the prestigious Nordic Drama Award from the Nordic Theatre Union for her work Kymmenen tikkua laudalla ("Ten Sticks on a Board"). Junkkaala was also nominated for the 2010 Lea Award for Best Finnish Play for her work Kristuksen morsian ("Bride of Christ").
